Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced and professional Governess to work for a prominent UNHWI (Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individual) family based in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a high-profile household or with VIP clients. The Governess will be responsible for providing a high standard of education and care for the children in the family, ensuring their overall development and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create and implement a personalized educational curriculum for the children, based on their individual needs and interests.
  2. Plan and conduct interactive and engaging lessons, incorporating both academic and extracurricular activities.
  3. Monitor the children's progress and provide regular feedback to the parents, highlighting areas of improvement and suggesting strategies for growth.
  4. Organize and accompany the children to various appointments, extracurricular activities, and social events.
  5. Supervise and assist with homework, assignments, and projects, ensuring that they are completed to a high standard.
  6. Promote good manners, etiquette, and social skills, instilling values of respect, kindness, and responsibility.
  7. Coordinate with other household staff, including nannies, tutors, and drivers, to ensure a smooth daily routine for the children.
  8. Arrange and oversee educational outings, cultural experiences, and educational trips to enhance the children's learning and broaden their horizons.
  9. Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
  10. Develop and maintain open and effective communication with the parents, keeping them informed about their children's progress, achievements, and any concerns.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Governess or a similar role, preferably within a high-profile household or with VIP clients.
  2. Excellent knowledge of educational curriculums and teaching methodologies.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and build rapport with children of different ages.
  4. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  5. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and grace.
  7. Respect for privacy and confidentiality, maintaining the utmost discretion at all times.
  8. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel with the family when required.
  9. Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  10. Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
