Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Credit Controller to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. As a Sr. Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the credit control function of our organization, ensuring timely payment from customers and minimizing bad debts. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial stability of our company and ensuring smooth cash flow.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement credit control policies and procedures to ensure effective management of credit and collection processes.
- Monitor and analyze customer credit limits and payment terms to minimize financial risks and bad debts.
- Review and assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by conducting credit checks and analyzing financial statements.
- Manage the collection of outstanding payments from customers by sending reminders, making phone calls, and initiating legal actions if necessary.
- Negotiate and establish payment plans with customers to facilitate timely payment and reduce the risk of bad debts.
- Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities, including customer interactions, payment agreements, and legal actions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to resolve any customer disputes or issues related to credit and collections.
- Prepare and present regular reports on the status of outstanding payments, aging debt, and credit control performance to the management team.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in credit control to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the credit control function.
Preferred Candidate:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in credit control or a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven track record in managing credit control functions and achieving targets.
- Strong knowledge of credit control principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office applications.
