Aircraft Oversight Inspector

Role Purpose:

Manage the implementation and application of aircraft oversight and inspection programmes, in line with the policies and procedures of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) to ensure compliance by aircraft operators and airports in their operations at both Dubai International, Al Makhtoum International Airports as well as any aviation entity within the Emirate of Dubai. 

Key Responsibilities/Duties: 

1.Audits & Inspections: Regularly lead inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure mitigation of those hazards. Supervise the Preparation of audit reports and conduct follow up audits to ensure corrective actions are being implemented.

2.Safety Policy and Procedures: Raise concerns about safety standards within any aviation entity operating within the emirate of Dubai. Request/ Review risk assessments and recommend necessary amendments as necessary in order to prevent Non compliances and to promote entities safety standards. 

3.Quality Control: Supervise the quality control processes in the section as well as maintain the compliance of the section to National and international quality standards.

4.Corrective action& Recommendations: Lead the actionof violations of any international or national aircraft safety compliance standards. Coordinate with accident investigation section to follow up on recommendations concerning the restriction of aviation activities. 

5.No Objection Certificate:Ensure effective evaluation and preparation ofNOC certificate for clearance of any aircraft spare parts identification and any other NOC related to aircraft operation.

6.Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft: Supervise the Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft (SAFA) programme, by planning the inspections and taking any necessary action to ensure compliance with international and national In coordination with GCAA

7.Liaison Duties: Liaise with other UAE aviation safety related authorities such as GCAA, Dubai Police and Airlines to coordinate the inspection/audit programmes efficiently and effectively.

8.Reports:Supervise the preparation of periodic /non periodic reports related to the section inspection programmes and SAFA procedures for the purpose of aircraft oversight.

9.   Perform any other tasks or responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Academic Qualifications:

• Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree.

Certifications:

Aviationmanagement and safety certificate

SAFA Programme

  Audit Programme

Professional Experience:

At least eight (8) years working experience in aviation safety operations

At least three (3) year in professional role

Demonstrated skill in technical area
