Job Description

Job summary:


The Junior Accountant will provide support to the accounting/financial department by managing daily accounting tasks.


Duties and Responsibilities:


·      Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

·      Update accounts receivable and issue invoices

·      Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations

·      Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines

·      Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed

·      Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports

·      Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings

·      Assist with other accounting projects

Skills

Required Qualifications


Educational:

  • BA or Diploma in Accounting.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Min 1-year relevant experience.
  • Profound experience with typical accounting procedures.
  • Good experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.


Professional Experience

·      Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.

·      High level of energy with strong customer service skills.

·      Basic math and computer skills.

·      Attention to detail.

·      Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints.

Work Location: Beirut – Bourj Hammoud Area

Work Schedule: Monday till Friday 7:30 am till 4:00 pm
