Job Description

About the jobAs a Test Engineer in this Aspire, you will be responsible for preparing and executing test scripts, ensuring the accuracy of system behavior, and driving defect resolution. Your strong technical skills, knowledge of payment systems, and ability to collaborate with various teams will contribute to the successful testing and implementation of card-based payment interfaces.


What you’ll do
  • Prepare and execute detailed test scripts based on requirements, validate the results, and document any defects identified during the testing cycle.
  • Test system behavior and compare it against expected behavior through positive, negative, and regression test cases, documenting the results in the defects tracker.
  • Identify field/format/value errors during System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing, and collaborate with technical teams to drive resolution.
  • Work closely with the Test Lead, technical teams, and other internal and external teams to understand testing requirements.
  • Report and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution of raised defects and achieve interface certification.
  • Compile and document test results, maintain issue logs and defect tracker with version history.
  • Monitor defects and coordinate with relevant teams for prompt resolution based on severity levels.
  • Execute test cycles within agreed timelines and according to the test plan.
  • Ensure zero errors before the implementation of batch and online interfaces in production.

What you’ll need


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a related field, preferably in testing.
  • Proficient in English language (Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing) at an Upper-Intermediate level or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the Cards and Payments domain.
  • Technical understanding of back office, middleware, and front-end concepts of card-based payment systems.
  • Experience in Systems Integration Testing of web services and XML interfaces using tools like SOAPUI, POSTMAN, etc.
  • Excellent oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and influencing.
  • Preferred technical knowledge in payment platforms such as Base24 switch, WAY4 CMS, Postilion switch, TIBCO middleware, Falcon Fraud monitoring, etc.
  • Familiarity with Agile testing approaches like TDD, BDD, and ATDD.
