Job Description

Role and Responsibilities  :-


  • Ensures Food Safety & Conformity of all products delivered to market, consistently with the overall SQCDME Plant

               performance.


  • Optimizes the Plant Laboratory in its four dimensions: production / expertise / training / exemplarity.
  • Ensures that Quality is part of all working instructions.
  • Organizes with Sourcing Quality and implements the Incoming Inspection process, with strong feed-back toward Suppliers.
  • Builds & steers a Plant Quality Improvement Plan, consistent with the CBU Quality Business plan and corporate directives.
  • Develops process capability & Quality visual management at all steps of incoming/production/maintenance.
  • Eradicates critical problems with strong PDCA.
  • Promotes Risk Assessment and “Built-in Quality” in all Plant projects: productivity, new products, new equipment’s.
  • Organizes audits Vs internal & external referential, and uses them as improvement opportunities.
  • Combines a high reactivity to new problems with perseverant management of the Medium Term Quality Improvement Plan.
  • Organizes trainings & coach plant teams for daily quality management, particularly First Line Managers.
  • Develops the Quality team, and promotes moves from and to other functions.
  • Builds a common vision and related behaviors, shared by all the Plant teams.
  • As member of Plant Managing Committee, contributes to the Plant SQCDME performance as a whole.

Food Safety Responsibilities:


  • Act as a Food Safety team leader (as defined in the ISO 22000:2005 standard) with responsibility and

authority on Food Safety Management.


  • Manage the Food Safety Team and organize its work.
  • Ensure relevant training and education of the Food Safety Team.
  • Ensure that the Food Safety Management System is established, implemented, maintained and updated
  • Report to the Factory Manager on the effectiveness and suitability of the Food Safety Management system.
  • Liaison with external parties on matters relating to the food safety Management System.

Education Background : Graduate/Post Graduate in Science


Skills Needed (Technical) : Food safety (HACCP, FSSC 22000, GMP etc)


Experience Needed (Professional) : 8- 10 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Manager in a similar industry manufacturing Infant Nutrition, Infant Cereals, Health Care Nutrition or Medical Nutrition products


Core Functional Competencies to be successful on the job:


  • Problem solving PDCA,QFS management system, Formulation, process and equipment’s

Interpersonal relation, communication, team management, ability to convince and negotiation
