QA + Python Testing

Overall Responsibilities:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in Python and testing frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of our applications. You will work closely with our development team to automate testing processes and enhance the overall efficiency of our software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated tests using Python and relevant testing frameworks.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through to resolution.
• Collaborate with the software development team to understand product specifications and develop appropriate testing strategies.
• Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine the breakdown point.
• Integrate automation scripts with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable continuous testing.
• Maintain and enhance the existing automation framework to accommodate new development and ensure ongoing reliability.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure test code quality and leverage best practices in test automation.
• Provide detailed test reports and metrics to stakeholders to offer insights into the quality and stability of the product.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies to improve test coverage.

Technical Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Python testing frameworks such as PyTest, Unittest, or similar.
• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, WebDriver, or other automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in writing, executing, and monitoring automated test suites.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Good understanding of CI/CD principles and experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and containerization strategies for test environments.
• Knowledge of REST API testing and the ability to write automated tests for APIs.

Experience: 4 - 12 Years

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience in developing high-quality test automation solutions.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications in Quality Assurance or Python programming.
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting to support complex test scenarios.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to achieving high-quality outcomes.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
