Role description:


The role offered is a pivotal component of Arcadis's Global Excellence Centre (GEC), which serves as a centralized and fully integrated project delivery unit. Comprising over 3,000 skilled professionals spread across offices in India, Romania, and the Philippines, the GEC facilitates Capability, Capacity, and a Competitive Advantage across diverse projects and services in collaboration with our global businesses. Specifically, within the GEC, the APM Group (Advanced Process Manufacturing) consists of cross-functional teams dedicated to designing and developing cutting-edge process engineering solutions for the Pharmaceutical & Process industries. Our success hinges on our adeptness in project management, understanding client requirements, and offering technical guidance, employing innovative computational design methodologies to ensure successful project outcomes.


Role accountabilities:


  1. Create, configure, and maintain project setups in Hexagon CADWorx software for plant design, ensuring alignment with project-specific requirements.
  2. Collaborate with Lead designers, Project managers, engineers, and designers to customize CADWorx settings and configurations for specific plant design projects.
  3. Provide technical support and guidance to project teams for utilizing CADWorx in plant design activities, including piping design, equipment modeling, and isometric generation.
  4. Organize and maintain project-specific CADWorx libraries, templates, and standards to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve project-specific technical issues related to CADWorx software, ensuring interoperability with other project tools and systems.
  6. Conduct training sessions for project team members to ensure proficiency in using CADWorx configurations, libraries, and workflows.
  7. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in plant design using CADWorx.
  8. Coordinate project setup and configuration between CADWorx Plant and CADWorx PID, collaborating with different office locations and internal IT teams to address project-specific requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:


  1. Diploma in a relevant technical or engineering discipline with certification in CADWorx or similar Plant design software.
  2. Proven experience as a CADWorx Plant System Administrator or Autodesk Plant 3D Administrator in plant design or related industries.
  3. Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Plant project administration, with in-depth knowledge of CADWorx software, including customization and library management.
  4. Familiarity with plant design principles, piping design, and relevant engineering standards.
  5. Proficiency in CAD software and related tools, with the ability to integrate CADWorx into project-specific design workflows.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to CADWorx.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with global project teams, along with knowledge of national, international, and local codes and standards.

Nice to have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in an in a relevant technical or engineering Discipline. 
  • Sound knowledge in handling projects on cloud systems and working with Autodesk BIM 360, Newforma Konekt (BIM Track), Cintoo Cloud etc. 
  • Affiliation to professional organizations like Autodesk etc.
  • Experience of integration of CAD design packages into databases such as Azure and SQL.
