Intouch.com is a two-sided media network in which physical retailers use Intouch Live to enroll their in-store screens, and advertisers use Intouch Ads to buy ad-slots on these same screens.

The problem we’re solving

Digital retailers use data to study shoppers’ online behaviour, predict their needs, and eliminate any friction points in the decision-making process. As a result, they provide shopping journeys that are very low on cognitive stress and therefore high on conversions / revenue. The problem is that digital-born retailers are moving to the offline world to increase their market share, and physical retailers lack the technology to compete with the complex data models digital ones have.

The Role

The candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for applications onboarding, infrastructure provisioning, deployment automation, maintaining the environment for compliance, availability, optimized cloud cost while providing full application development lifecycle support across all environments including production support as per industry best practices and internal standards and controls. It is essential to have excellent communication and coordination skills to successfully integrate various functions in a coordinated manner and deliver the responsibilities to the customer’s satisfaction.
The DevOps engineer’s responsibilities are multi-prong - they need to be agile enough to wear a technical hat and manage operations simultaneously.
A DevOps Engineer’s role requires technical skills in the development cycle and operations skills for maintenance and support.

What will I be doing?

• Ability to make well-informed decisions on DevOps tooling and implementation recommendations based on real-world professional experience.
• Design procedures to prevent security breaches and other vulnerabilities.
• Suggest alterations to workflow in order to improve efficiency and success.
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
• Develop scripts to automate processes (preferably bash).
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance 
• Hands-on experience with Azure/AWS services, setting up the Kubernetes platform, deploying microservices and other web applications, and managing secure secrets.
• Designs, plans, implements and administers pipelines with core capabilities, including reporting and full system integration.
• Leads design of end-to-end architectures oversees and performs research studies and presentations that include recommendations, and implements solutions.
• Works with other departments in defining architectures and leading projects that cross-functional systems and other state entities require coordinating, planning, and scheduling during project transition, development, and implementation stages.
• Initiate hands-on engineering, development, integration, and administration of DevOps tools. Strong grasp of automation and monitoring tools.
  

What skills do I need?

• Experience for at least 3 years as a DevOps engineer
• Prior experience at all phases of the software product life cycle, from conception to extinction.
