Director of Engineering – International 5* Hotel, Jordan

Location: Amman

Salary Package: JOD 3200 + service charge + bonus + accommodation and full family benefits

We are currently looking for a driven, passionate, and dynamic DOE to join the team in Amman.

Your main duties will be as follows:

• As a Director of Engineering, you are responsible on all matters related to the repairs and maintenance operation of the physical plant and engineering facilities.
• Organize and set up preventive maintenance programmes for all electrical and mechanical equipment including general building works.
• Manage, train, and supervise maintenance employees and contract employees who are carrying out minor building work, electrical and mechanical installations.
• Supervise and liaise with all contractors, electrical, mechanical, and associated building works complying with the local government regulations.
• Ensure that all administration files are kept up to date including drawing prints, specifications and equipment, technical maintenance manuals, etc.
• Recommend and evaluate energy conservation programmes and ensure they are carried out as well as investigate the wastage.

Requirements:

• A degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering with 5 years experiences in a similar role within 4/5* hotels.
• Proficient in Arabic and English is essential – we welcome Jordanian and Lebanese individuals to apply for the role due to team dynamics
• Excellent communication, team management, analytical and administrative skills.
• Must be self-motivated, ability to develop innovative options and works well under pressure.
